Top Favorite Board Games In No Particular Order
Jordan (2020)
Trick taking games are in my blood - we've been playing Hearts & The Great Dalmuti since before I was old enough to stay up with the adults.
And Skull King is a fantastic addition to the genre.
In Skull King you play a series of trick taking rounds, starting with only 1 card in hand and going until you play a round where everyone starts with 10 cards.
At the beginning of each round, you bid how many times you'll win the trick - and if you're right it pays off handsomely, but if someone throws a wrench in your plans you'll end up with negative points instead!!
Jordan's favorite memory of this game:
The best, and worst, part of playing Skull King with my family is that once they know they'll lose the round - either because they've won too many hands or too few - everyone will do their best to make sure that you also end up on the wrong side of your bid! It ends up taking a very skilled player to navigate these waters, and so far there is no one more skilled than Grandpa Rick who, so far, is the undisputed King of Skull King.

Marrin
What Marrin enjoys most about this game:
I pick games mostly on art and pieces, and this accomplishes that for me! I love the 3D Terrain, I love the little characters you can choose to play, and add to your set up, and the resource pieces are so satisfying! I love that the berries are made of silicone so they actually squish!
Marrin's favorite memory of this game:
I will also always appreciate a game that comes with a single player mode -- As the youngest, most of my siblings were out of the house by the time I wanted to actually sit down and play any type of board game.
Recommended for anyone who loves:
Family Games - (Catan, Ticket to Ride, etc...), Strategy Games - (Stone Age, Agricola, Terra Mystica, Scythe, etc...)
This game is great for:
Family Game Night, Board Game Night (Friends/Other Gamers)
River Valley Glassworks

What Jenner enjoys most about this game:
I most enjoy the simplicity of this game. I can play with my nieces and nephews or siblings and parents and we call have a good time.
Jenner's favorite memory of this game:
Even though the game play feels solitaire esque, there are choices you make that impact the other players.
On one such occasion, my younger brother HAD to pick a specific river stone or else my dad would win, but he was too stubborn, so my dad did end up winning and we all good heartedly berated my brother.

What Kevin enjoys most about this game:
This game is a chill birdwatching experience for those who never thought that would even remotely be a fun activity. It’s proves you wrong in the best way! It’s a fantastic 1v1 and well as a up to 5 player experience!
Kevin's favorite memory of this game:
This game is all about managing your birds within their environments and leveraging their abilities to get resources for your birds and achieving victory! This game is low interaction or interruption making it light on competition but still very heavy on fun and excitement!

Star Wars: The Deckbuilder The Clone Wars

What Spencer enjoys most about this game:
Star Wars: The Deckbuilder The Clone Wars offers an adaptable 1v1 game with near infinite replayability. Whether its choosing what planet to retreat to, bounty hunting you opponents cards from the Galaxy Row, or buying and expensive unit, every decision makes you feel like a general in a galaxy far far away.
Spencer's favorite memory of this game:
The force mechanic is a unique feature of Star Wars: The Deckbuilder The Clone Wars. You get certain benefits for having the force with you. I tried focusing on drafting cards that gained force points in my last game and it ended up helping me win!
