Top Favorite Board Games In No Particular Order
Jordan (2020)
What Jordan enjoys most about this game:
I enjoy any good clue giving/word guessing game - Codenames, Obscurio, Mysterium, Just One, etc... - but Wavelength is particularly clever.
First, you spin a dial and the clue giver gets to see where it ends up, roughly from 0-100.
Then they get a prompt that scales (Hot-Cold, Beautiful-Ugly, High-Low)
The clue giver only gets to give 1 word/concept to their team, who then have to turn the dial to match where the needle ended up. The other team gets to guess High or Low and potentially score a bonus point if the guess was wrong.
Like Codenames, it's a great spin on classic word games where the limitations really do bring out a totally different kind of experience.
Jordan's favorite memory of this game:
We played Wavelength at a staff meeting, and my clues/references were so awful that I have un-officially been banned from ever being the clue giver again. I guess I just wasn't on the same "wavelength" as my team :-P

Spencer
What Spencer enjoys most about this game:
Spencer's favorite memory of this game:
Ive been playing through this game and attempting to complete the ascensions (an extra challenge you can add to make the game more of a legacy-style game). Each climb you get introduced to new cards, new encounters, and new challenges so being adaptable is key. In my most recent climb I had to face a choice between a greedy upgrade or a heal and I chose the upgrade. I was defeated at the next combat encounter but my deck was really stacked.
Recommended for anyone who loves:
Co-Op Games - (Pandemic, Unlock, etc...), Deck Building Games - (Dominion, Legendary, Mystic Vale, etc...)
This game is great for:

Blood on the Clock Tower

Zach
What Zach enjoys most about this game:
It's a social deduction game that admits that you need a Gamemaster to run it. I've never been the gamemaster for our group, but those who have say it is really fun (and you do still have some choices to make as the GM). I will admit I am never good at these kinds of games, but I have a blast playing.
Zach's favorite memory of this game:
I was playing a good guy role when Brock -in the middle of the night- said "if I die tonight Zach killed me". Well guess who died? When I was trying to defend myself I told everyone what role I was and Brock said "no way! You're lying! I'm that role!" it was a complete mind bender and ended up with me getting voted off. Brock was later revealed to be evil (of course).
Recommended for anyone who loves:
Party Games - (Telestrations, Code Names, Apples to Apples, etc...), Strategy Games - (Stone Age, Agricola, Terra Mystica, Scythe, etc...)
This game is great for:
Family Game Night, Board Game Night (Friends/Other Gamers), Holiday Get Togethers, Any time you have 8+ people together
Sorcery: Contested Realm

Jenner, Lindy and Zach
What Lindy enjoys most about this game:
It’s old school MTG but with a grid system! Almost like chess.
I love TCGs, but adding that grid system makes it so unique and fun. Every game feels entirely different (even when using the same decks). I also love that they’re doing slower releases of new sets because too many releases in a year to keep track of stresses me out.
They’ve also done a great job incorporating rules that support the players to be more friendly and forgiving of mistakes. The community has been so kind and so fun, it has been one of the best parts of the game!
Jenner's favorite memory of this game:
My favorite time playing this game, we were playing a 4 player variant and the land that got played in the middle destroyed any minion that entered there. My brother was being antagonized by his girlfriend’s Wild Boar card, but he was able to play a spell that pushed it into the land that destroyed it, saying, “this little piggy went wee wee wee all the way home.” It cracked us all up!
Recommended for anyone who loves:
Territory Control Games - (Risk, Axis & Allies, etc...), Strategy Games - (Stone Age, Agricola, Terra Mystica, Scythe, etc...), Deck Building Games - (Dominion, Legendary, Mystic Vale, etc...), TCGs
This game is great for:
