Game Grid Lehi $1,000 High School Senior Tournament Scholarship
Official Terms & Conditions
1. Eligibility Requirements
To participate in the tournament and be eligible to win the $1,000 scholarship prize, players must meet the following criteria:
Academic Standing: Must be a current high school senior tracking to graduate during the current academic year.
Tournament Attendance: Must register and participate in person at Game Grid Lehi on the designated tournament dates.
Identification: Winners must provide proof of high school enrollment/senior status (e.g., a current student ID, transcript, or counselor verification) to claim the prize.
2. The Prize
The winner of the tournament will receive a $1,000 educational scholarship.
The prize is non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash, store credit, or product trading cards.
3. Redemption Window & Service Extensions (LDS Mission Clause)
We know life moves fast after high school, and many of our players commit to full-time service. We have designed our redemption window to support you.
Standard Window: The scholarship must generally be claimed within one (1) year of high school graduation.
Extended Window (Missions & Service): If the winner chooses to defer higher education to serve a full-time religious mission (e.g., an LDS mission), enlist in military service, or participate in an organized domestic/international volunteer program, the redemption window is automatically extended to three (3) years from the date of high school graduation.
Notice Requirement: To lock in the 3-year extension, the winner must notify Game Grid Lehi management in writing (via email) prior to their departure, providing brief documentation of their upcoming service or mission call.
4. Prize Disbursement & Educational Use
To ensure compliance with local regulations and tax guidelines, the funds will be handled as follows:
Important Note on Funding: The $1,000 prize will be paid directly to the bursar or financial aid office of the winner’s chosen accredited institution. Funds will not be disbursed as a personal check to the individual.
Eligible Institutions: The scholarship may be applied to tuition, fees, or campus housing at any accredited university, community college, or trade/technical school within the United States.
How to Claim: Upon official enrollment at their chosen institution, the winner must submit a valid tuition invoice or student account instruction form to Game Grid Lehi. Payment will be processed and sent directly to the school within 14 business days.
5. Tournament Integrity & Code of Conduct
Fair Play: Game Grid Lehi maintains a strict zero-tolerance policy for cheating, collusion, or unsportsmanlike conduct. Anyone found violating tournament rules or the store’s Code of Conduct will be immediately disqualified and forfeit any rights to the prize.
Disqualification: If the first-place winner is disqualified or fails to claim the scholarship within their designated 1- or 3-year window, the prize funds will roll over to the next eligible high school senior in the tournament standings, or be reserved for a future Game Grid Lehi scholarship event.
