Top Favorite Board Games In No Particular Order
Blank!
What Jordan enjoys most about this game:
Everyone already knows how to play Uno, so when a game comes along that uses essentially the same rules but adds a ton of fun to the mix I'm always ready to give it a try.
Blank absolutely comes through as the perfect replacement for Uno!
In addition to your normal gameplay (empty your hand, play on matching numbers or colors) Blank has a bunch of cards that add new rules, usually to one specific player. You might be cursed to spend the rest of the game talking in the third person, or moving at the pace of a snail, or even saying "EPIC Play" every time another player takes their turn - and watch out, because if you forget to play by the rules you'll end up drawing more cards!
However, there's one more addition to the game that really makes it shine.
Whenever someone wins a game of Blank they get to write on one of the cards making a new rule card that will live on and be a part of Blank every time you play it.
Our family now has 6+ decks of Blank running around, with new cards being added and a totally different game being played depending on which deck you use.
Jordan's favorite memory of this game:
The first time I played Blank it took me a minute to get into the game and before I knew it I had a fistful of cards and it seemed like there was no way I was going to come back and win.
Then I noticed that everyone was being rather casual about calling out Zach and Jenner (my brothers) when they weren't following the rules cards they had been given. That wouldn't do, not if I wanted to have a chance to play out my hand!
At one point it ended up with Zach having a hand of 30+ cards (more than we had left in the deck!) before he turned the tables and started making me draw for every rule I forgot!
We ended up calling a bit of a cease-fire and the rest of the game we were a lot more forgiving, but I don't remember the last game that gave me as much joy as seeing Zach try to sort through his infinite hand of cards to find the right one to play. :-D

Star Wars: Unlimited
I love that SWU is a fresh, balanced and flavorful TCG that keeps things quick, snappy, and satisfying. I appreciate that it's built from the start with social, multiplayer rules in mind as the Twin Suns rules make it feel like they've really mastered the multiplayer TCG format. The art is phenomenal, and the game does such an amazing job capturing the feel of Star Wars and immersing you in it's universe.
Abi's favorite memory of this game:
My favorite time playing Star Wars: Unlimited happened was during a Twin Suns (Multiplayer) game. A lowly Moisture Farmer (one of the weakest units in the game) became a Mandalorian Foundling, got suited up with Mandalorian armor and weapons, and got so powerful that the table went from cheering the little guy on to realizing that she was a huge threat and about to win the game. In the end the Mandalorian Moisture Farmer was defeated by the rest of the table working together, but not before she took Jabba the Hutt and Master Yoda down with her! 😂. This is just one example of many of the hilarious moments that can come up in the Twin Suns games of Star Wars: Unlimited.
Recommended for anyone who loves:
Deck Building Games - (Dominion, Legendary, Mystic Vale, etc...), Trading Card Games - (Magic: The Gathering, Pokemon, Lorcana, etc...)
This game is great for:
Family Game Night, Board Game Night (Friends/Other Gamers), Couples / Game Night with your BFF, Trying a new TCG with your commander crew!
Freelancers never stopped being a good funny time. The game is goofy and dumb in how it presents itself, but never does so in a way that feels too hamfisted. The humor in the game is just funny and the gameplay is interesting enough besides that.
Bridger's favorite memory of this game:
This game has a feature that let's you get "titles" on your character but they are based on your real world self. For instance people will vote on who is the "filthiest" or whoever can get the most laughs in the group. The title system is just fun and just by having them exist it captures a memory.
