It was used by the US army in Italy, Northwest Europe and the Pacific -in the latter theatre its 37mm gun made it an effective tank destroyer, the role for which it was originally designed. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eReplacing the armoured turret for a fixed, open fighting compartment, the M20 scout car was used primarily as a command vehicle, sacrificing the turrets main gun in favour of extra radio capability.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIn games of Bolt Action both variants are armoured cars (DV 7+) that can be included in Armoured Platoons. The M8 has a light anti-tank gun, coxial MMG and option to add an HMG, the M20 has an HMG.
